Woodpecker "Lights Out"
In 2021 I was working in an office with two friends, doing freelance work for various companies and artists. Among some of the work we did was this music video. Originally though as a video for the band The Entrepreneurs, the idea was rejected by them. Along the process we were asked to do a music video project for another band, Woodpecker. We pitched the idea of combining the original idea with a wrestler, with their initial vibe and feeling about their respective music, and to our joy they were in on it!
History
The video was shot entirely in Aarhus, Denmark. We had one day to shoot it, so we drove with our equipment early in the morning from Copenhagen. To our big surprise, we were given a wrestling ring and a crew for free, in exchange for some promotion for the different wrestlers that was helping us on the side. The home sequences are shot at the main characters private home, and everything was put together after a 20 hour day in Aarhus.
